ABOUT THE COMPANY
The Company develops Mobile Ad hoc Networking (MANET) radio systems for the US Military and Coalition Forces. The radios are typically worn by soldiers, mounted to vehicles, or integrated into autonomous unmanned vehicles (UAV and UGV platforms). JOB DESCRIPTION
We seek an Embedded Software Developer with extensive experience developing embedded networking applications in a Linux environment. The position involves the development and implementation of streaming media applications. The ideal candidate has recent, demonstrated, development expertise delivering a commercial grade network infrastructure on Linux.
DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Recent Linux Kernel (2.6.27+) development on ARM processors
- Linux Distribution development/management (MontaVista, OpenWRT, SnapGear)
- Linux wireless driver development
- Streaming VoIP and H.264 development
- Network Protocol development
QUALIFICATIONS
*Applicant should possess at least a Masters in EE/CS. PhD preferred.* Applicant must have at least five years of ANSI C programming experience developing software for Linux systems. Applicant must have experience with the Linux networking stack, Linux Kernel development, device driver development, and distributed systems and network programming. Applicant must have experience in wireless networks, mesh networks, and related network products. Applicant must be self-motivated with good communication skills and an investigative spirit. Applicant must be able to rapidly learn new areas and solve complicated problems. Applicant must possess the ability to react to customer needs. Applicant must have a willingness to travel.
